Rush Creek Trail

Between the hamlet of Lee Vining,  California and the very busy resort of Mammoth Lakes California, the June Lakes Loop provides a scenic detour off of Highway 395.   Silver Lake is one of the lakes on the loop and close to Silver Lake is where the Rush Creek Trail takes off  into the Ansel Adams Wilderness.

Enjoying a day hike there this weekend, I chose to focus on  the hike itself and so held off on taking many photos. However, here are a few from the trail which starts at 7240 feet, heads up to Agnew Lake at 8550 then continues on as long as your legs will take you. I wisely decided mine should take me back to the parking lot.
