    • it’s been triple digits in Northern Nevada as in many places. In the evening the cumulus clouds start building. This batch came over the Virginia Range, south and east of Reno, moving towards Reno. It’s the telephoto lens that wonderfully allows the access to the incredible interior cloudscape. I just love the shades of blue grey, the angles, the valleys. Wonderfully subtle palette in places. All this for free from where I live in Washoe Valley. Such a gift.

      • Yes to all you wrote, it is fabulous, and likely the heat wave helping produce all that glory even if uncomfortable. Thank you for more detail. I love painting clouds and it’s good to look at the real thing with so much going on, and as you say all those varied tones.
