Serendipitous Sunday Photos

I took a drive up to Lake Tahoe late this afternoon, stopping  along the way at Spooner Lake which sits just below Spooner Summit on Highway 28.

Took some time and did a 2 mile walk around the lake. Along the way I was able to grab some serendipitous photos  of  what I believe was a turkey vulture. Big Bird.

And Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe also provided some good photo ops.  It is a very popular place in the summer.  Lots of great rocks to play on and jump off  and one sweet beach for lying around and getting brown.  Or pre cancerous depending how you look at it.  It was however, the right place at the right time  to capture some shots of a fellow having a grand time rock jumping.

And further down the road at Sand Harbor, the local wildlife was more into play than looking for food.
